tea-boxesBrassica’s gourmet Chinese Sencha full-leaf green and black teas with SGS™ brand glucoraphanin from broccoli seeds, give you all of the health benefits of green and black tea plus the goodness of broccoli (without the taste!).

Sencha tea is a popular green tea from Japan made from the top parts of the tea leaf and tea buds. The benefits of Sencha and other green teas are derived from their high concentrations of antioxidants and beneficial polyphenols. Antioxidants and polyphenols help neutralize harmful free radicals thought to contribute to the development of certain health conditions as well as the aging process.

SGS™ is a nutritional ingredient that contains glucoraphanin, a phytonutrient naturally found in broccoli. Glucoraphanin gets converted in the body to sulforaphane, which in 1992, was identified by researchers at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as the most potent natural inducer of Phase 2 detoxification enzymes. These enzymes eliminate many types of free radicals and environmental pollutants and trigger ongoing antioxidant action that lasts for up to three days.

Only Brassica teas are patented and licensed by Johns Hopkins University under US patents 5,725,895; 5,968,505; 5,968,567, 6,177,122 and 6,242,018.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all Brassica Teas will go to the Brassica Foundation for biomedical research on vegetables.
